The infrared inspection showed that this component was faulty, running at 178 degrees celsius, with the potential for an immediate outage or worse.

The tenant’s electrician sourced a replacement part, and arranged an orderly shutdown of the plant that same evening and had the component replaced. Despite the severity of the fault, the tenant experienced no downtime.
