This image in a Data Centre shows the connections to a Motor Starter are faulty. This was discovered as the thermal imaging inspection was timed to be completed when undertaking a generator test at the Data Centre. You’ll note that the fault is not apparent when looking with the naked eye.

A normal thermal imaging inspection would not have identified this fault, it would only present itself when the Data Centre was running on generator power.

The operator of the Data Centre was able to replace the faulty part, and with confidence know the Data Centre would operate effectively in the event that generator power was required.
